Five centuries of exile carried these recipes from Toledo to Thessaloniki and Smyrna. A Sephardic cook shares the dishes and the stories behind them; you cook side by side, then sit down together to dine on everything you have made, with drinks.

About
“What began as a search for my roots became my path and my company.”
Alejandra founded Explore Sefarad in 2008, following the history of her own family, the Abulafias, of Sephardic origin. Since then she has guided communities, schools, universities and families from around the world through Jewish Spain and Portugal.
The Book
Destinos de la Red de Juderías de España
A journey through the cities of the Spanish Network of Jewish Quarters. City by city, the book brings together the history of each Jewish community, a timeline from its first records to the expulsion of 1492, maps of the old Jewish quarter and the places you can still visit today — synagogues, cemeteries, walls and gardens.
The result of many kilometres travelled along the Caminos de Sefarad and of conversations with researchers, archaeologists, historians and local experts.
